Lydia Ann Porter Family

Lydia Ann Porter was born 13 Jul 1844 in Indiana to William L. Porter and Magdalene Hoover Porter. Her known siblings were Pileney  Jane Porter (10 Jan 1841 - Sep 1848), Lucenda Emaline Porter (17 Nov  1845 - 23 Dec 1845), John Thomas Porter (12 May 1852 - 17 Feb 1875), James L. Porter born about 1860, and Mertie Irene Porter born 1871 in Ohio and died during 1923 in Oklahoma. William Porter is shown on  the 1860 census of Fountain County, Indiana with occupation as  "cooper". William married Eunice during August 1853 in Dearborn  County, Indiana and applied for divorce while living in Clinton County, Indiana during 1855.
 

 Lydia Ann married Thomas Craig 18 Apr 1858 in Boone County, Indiana. Children of this marriage were:

 Debra Magdalene Craig (27 My 1859 - 30 Jul 1859), William Brackenridge Craig (1 Sep 1860 - about 1902), Mary Alice
Craig (5 Jun 1863 - 3 Jan 1929 in Refugio County, Texas), Charles Bernard Craig (23 Mar 1866 - 27 Jun 1935 in Lee  County,
Texas).
 

 Lydia Ann died in Lee County, Texas and is buried in the  Lawhon Springs Cemetery beside her son Charles.
 

 

Lydia's half sister Lucinda married Aaron Edward Kimble of Illinois. Aaron and Lucinda were in Wise County, Texas during 1900 and homesteaded in Beaver County OK during 1904. Lucinda and Aaron are buried in the Nabisco Cemetery in  Texas County  Oklahoma.
